The Borough of Conshohocken is accepting applications for a full-time Recreation Coordinator in the Recreation Services & Parks Department.
Candidates will be responsible for supervising, overseeing, and monitoring early morning and weekend recreation programs, events, and rentals at the Community Center and other Borough facilities, including, but not limited to, athletic fields and parks.
This position requires a candidate to work cooperatively and effectively with the public and other employees. The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must have a flexible schedule due to the nature of recreation services and be able to work early mornings and weekends with two days off during the week. Off days will be discussed prior to hire with the Recreation Director and based on the Community Center at the Fel’s daily schedule.

Candidates must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office, be able to learn the recreation software that is used, have excellent communication and writing skills, and have a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in recreation, physical education, or a closely related field, or currently working towards one is required; 2 years or more experience preferred in recreation program management or a combination of education, experience, training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to facilitate, coordinate and supervise the work of staff and/or instructors; must have and maintain acceptable background clearances; and current Red Cross or equivalent CPR, AED and First Aid Certification.
Group fitness and/or personal training certification is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; stand for periods of time; and set up/break down tables, chairs, and other recreational apparatuses or items required for rentals and programs.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 per year.
