During Storm Ida, the Borough of Conshohocken’s emergency management team was involved with high water rescues. When the water receded slightly, we were able to utilize other emergency vehicles in addition to our rescue boats, specifically a high-water vehicle that was provided through mutual aid with Radnor Township. This vehicle allowed us to drive across flood waters and assist a greater number of isolated individuals stranded by the flood waters. Storm Ida identified a need for this critical piece of equipment as we look to battle increased chances for major floods due to climate change.
Due to the generosity of local businesses and individuals, the Borough was able to secure its own high-water rescue vehicle. On behalf of the entire Borough, please accept our sincere gratitude not only for your generous donation but also for your partnership and commitment to the safety and welfare of Borough residents, visitors, and businesses.
