The Borough of Conshohocken is pleased to announce that it will host the Simon’s Heart Conshy Classic Bike Race presented by QCW on Sunday, August 18, 2024, starting at 12 noon.
Event setup, which includes road closures, begins at 9 a.m.
The Borough of Conshohocken would like to communicate the following
information regarding road closures and parking:
1. The following roads will be closed starting at 9 a.m.:
- Fayette Street from 3rd Avenue to Elm Street
- West 1st Avenue from Fayette Street to Forrest Street
- Harry Street from East 2nd Avenue to East 1st Avenue
- Hallowell Street from East 3rd Avenue to Spring Mill Avenue
- Wells Street from East 5th Avenue to Spring Mill Avenue
- East 3rd Avenue from Hallowell Street to Spring Mill Avenue
- East 5th Avenue from Wells Street to Spring Mill Avenue
- Spring Mill Avenue from East 6th Avenue to Fayette Street
- East Hector Street from Apple Street to Jones Street
- East Elm Street from Fayette Street to Jones Street
2. Residents who have their cars parked on the following roads must move their vehicles by 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 18:
- Both sides of East Elm Street from Fayette Street to Apple Street
- Both sides of Apple Street from East Elm Street to Spring Mill Avenue
- Both sides of Spring Mill Avenue from East 6th Avenue to Harry Street
If your vehicle is not moved by 8 a.m., it will be relocated by the Conshohocken Police Department. You will have to call the Police Department at (610) 828-4032 to obtain the location of your vehicle.
3. Affected residents can move their vehicles to any available on-street parking not on the race course or the following:
- Sora West Parking Garage (100 West Elm Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428)
- Washington Street – Parking on both sides of the street will be permitted on the day of the event
4. Residents living inside the race course do not need to move their vehicles. Residents will be able to exit the area via vehicle in between race events but may experience delays of up to 30 minutes. Vehicles exiting will not be allowed to reenter the area until the event is complete at approximately 6 p.m.
Residents may exit via:
- Ash Street to Washington Street
- Poplar Street to Washington Street
- Cherry Street to Washington Street
5. The start/finish line will be located on Spring Mill Avenue between Ash Street and Poplar Street. A stage, announcer, and DJ will be placed in this area. Please expect amplified sound and music during the event.
6. Security for the event will be handled by our Police Department. Traffic control will be handled by the Borough Fire Police.
7. Our Public Services Department will utilize the street sweeper before and after the event to ensure the streets are clean. The Department will place extra trash and recycling bins throughout the race course. The Borough will ensure the site is cleaned up following the event.
8. There is no Conshohocken Cab service.
