Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Conshohocken will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Conshohocken Borough Hall, 400 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are federal funds administered by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to finance projects benefitting low and moderate-income individuals. Residents are invited to comment or ask questions concerning current community needs, past uses of CDBG funds, and how 2024 funds should be used. Conshohocken is eligible for $150,366.00 in federal CDBG funds.
CDBG funds may be used for the following types of activities: water and sewer line replacement or improvement; housing rehabilitation; construction of affordable housing; construction or reconstruction of public/community facilities; new public services, which increase service delivery; street improvements; removal of architectural barriers; economic development; code enforcement; acquisition and demolition; general administration; planning; audit; and preparation of the CDBG application. Conshohocken would be responsible for the replacement of any demolished low-moderate income housing units that displace families or individuals due to a CDBG-funded project.
Anyone needing public accommodations or a language interpreter to attend the hearing should contact Chris Stetler at 610-828-1092 or cstetler@conshohockenpa.gov at least 72 hours prior to the hearing.
It is of the utmost importance to Conshohocken Borough Council that residents be given every opportunity to voice their opinions. Written comments on any of the areas described above will be accepted before the hearing through September 3, 2024. Comments may be mailed or e-mailed to Chris Stetler, Borough of Conshohocken, 400 Fayette Street, Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA 19428, or cstetler@conshohockenpa.gov.
The application submission deadline is November 1, 2024.
