2025 Soap Box Fireworks

The Borough of Conshohocken is hosting its annual fireworks display on Thursday, July 3, in Sutcliffe Park at 9 p.m. and the Conshohocken Soap Box Derby on Friday, July 4, on Fayette Street starting at 8:30 a.m.

FIREWORKS DISPLAY
As in years past, the fireworks display will be large, allowing it to be visible from as many vantage points as possible throughout the Borough. Due to the safety perimeter required for the display, Sutcliffe Park will be closed to the public.

Before the start of this year’s display, Friends of Conshohocken Parks will introduce the “Kaboom Kid,” who will officially start the show. There will be a brief ceremony before the Kaboom Kid’s countdown at 8:55 p.m. The ceremony will be shown live on the Borough’s social media channels via Facebook Live (@ConshohockenBorough) and Instagram Live (@ConshyBorough).

The following areas and roads will be closed to vehicular traffic. Road closures will begin at 4 p.m. “No Parking” notices will be posted in advance of the closures.

  • The Sutcliffe Park parking lot from Wood Street to Colwell Lane.
  • Access to the Sutcliffe Park parking lot at West 10th Avenue and Freedley Street.
  • West 9th Avenue from Fayette Street to Wood Street.
  • Wood Street from West 9th Avenue to West 10th Avenue.
  • The alley behind West 9th Avenue from the 200 block of West 9th Avenue to the 200 block of West 10th Avenue.
  • West 7th Avenue from Wood Street.
  • Northbound traffic on Colwell Lane starting at Brook Road immediately following the end of the fireworks display.

The lower gravel parking lot on Sutcliffe Drive near the baseball fields between Freedley Street and Colwell Lane will be open for residential parking until 4 p.m.

Residents residing within any of the areas above will still have access to and from their property on the day of the event.

In case of inclement weather or high winds, the designated rain date for the display is Saturday, July 5. In the event of a rain date, the above plans and road closures will remain the same.

SOAP BOX DERBY
A Conshohocken tradition since 1951, the Conshohocken Soap Box Derby will race down Fayette Street from 8th Avenue to 4th Avenue starting at 8:30 a.m.

Fayette Street will be closed from 3rd Avenue to 10th Avenue from 6 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on event day. “No Parking” notices will be posted in advance of the closures.
